Technical College Opportunities:
Three of Wisconsin’s 16 technical colleges are within close proximity of Abbotsford.  These institutions offer hands-on, skills-based education that creates quality employment opportunities into the future in a rapidly changing, global economy, connecting learners with the business community.

Northcentral Technical College (NTC) (www.ntc.edu) is a place where today's experiences meet tomorrow's possibilities. Students may choose from over 40 degrees offering training in some of the fastest growing careers. In addition, NTC offers customized training, technical assistance, testing and evaluation processes and consulting services to its business and industry partners. NTC represents a 10-county district that encompasses all of, or portions of, Marathon, Lincoln, Taylor, Price, Langlade, Menominee, Clark, Portage, Shawano and Waupaca counties. The College's central campus is located in Wausau, with convenient regional campuses in Antigo, Medford, Merrill, Phillips, Spencer and Wittenberg.  NTC's campuses in Medford, Phillips, Spencer, and Wittenberg offer credit courses in several associate degree and diploma programs through self-paced "Flex Labs," interactive television, and conventional classroom settings. NTC's campuses in Wausau, Antigo, Medford, Phillips, Spencer, and Wittenberg offer counseling and career development services, as well as a wide variety of continuing education and vocational classes. NTC offers transfer and articulation agreements with the following institutions: Alverno University, Capella University, Cardinal Stritch University, Franklin University, Lakeland College, Marian College, Mount Scenario College, Phoenix University, Silver Lake College, Upper Iowa University, Western Governors University, and the UW-system.

Rasmussen College (http://www.rasmussen.edu/locations/wisconsin/wausau/), Founded in 1900, Rasmussen College is a premier provider of educational experiences, dedicated to the growth and development of its students, employees, and the communities it serves. Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, Rasmussen College offers Bachelor's and Associate's degrees in fields with the greatest occupation opportunities to more than 15,000 students both online and through its network of 21 campuses. Mid-State Technical College (MSTC) (www.mstc.edu), with campuses in Marshfield, Adams, Stevens Point, and Wisconsin Rapids, awards certificates for the successful completion of a single course or a combination of courses, associate degree, and technical diploma programs. Additionally, MSTC's Marshfield Campus offers apprenticeship opportunities as well as adult and continuing education courses and seminars, career awareness workshops, academic support services, incumbent worker training, and customized training for business and industry.

Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) (www.cvtc.edu) with campuses in Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, Neillsville, Menomonie and Neillsville offers a wide variety of short-term training programs as well as associate degree and technical diploma programs.

Two- and four-year University of Wisconsin Opportunities:
Two 2-year UW campuses and two 4-year UW campuses are close to Abbotsford. 

The University of Wisconsin Marathon County in Wausau(www.uwmc.uwc.edu), a two-year campus in the University of Wisconsin System, offers certificate programs as well as two-year programs leading to an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree as well as collaborative degree programs in Business Administration, General Studies, and Web and Digital Media Development with the UW-Stevens Point and in Nursing with the UW-Oshkosh.  All credits are transferable and credit acceptance at all University of Wisconsin System four-year universities is guaranteed.

The University of Wisconsin Marshfield-Wood County, (www.marshfield.uwc.edu) a two-year campus in the University of Wisconsin System, offers two-year programs leading to an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree and collaborative degree programs for a bachelors of science in Nursing with the UW-Eau Claire, bachelors degrees in General Studies, Business Administration, and Web and Digital Media Development with the UW-Stevens Point. All credits are transferable and credit acceptance at all University of Wisconsin System four-year universities is guaranteed. Continuing education courses and a quality program of performing and visual arts are offered to the community. The Performing Arts Series offers new programs yearly.
